New! CCM Felt Hat for Men
After several requests, I’m happy to introduce:
My 1st-ever felted beanie-type hat, designed with your Favorite Guy in mind!
Upon seeing this felt hat for men, my own Sweet Man assured me I’d hit a homerun with the new design. He immediately requested his own, in brown.
I’m planning on knitting up a dozen-ish of these new men’s felt hats for the 2012 Sunapee Fair. Let me know if your Favorite Guy has favorite colors…
And, the 2011 Dorr Mill Award Winner is…
Embroidered felt hat, Jungle Flower!
Each August, visitors to the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Sunapee Fair can visit CraftWear, a glorious collection of fine, handmade art-to-wear.
Many thanks to Dorr Mill, for the award. I’m delighted by the recognition, especially considering the talent of my fiber artist peers.
Felt Hat Kits Make Great Gifts
Are you a knitter? Do you have a favorite knitter in your life? Felted hat kits make great holiday gifts!
Each kit comes with knitting and felting instructions, yarn enough for one hat, and a bit of satin ribbon, for lining the finished hat.
Each hat uses two skeins of yarn, and I’ve got a full selection of gorgeous colors:
Just select the color/s, choose your payment type (PayPal, personal check or credit card), and send me an email (ccmhats AT gmail DOT com).
Felted hat kits cost $45 (which includes shipping in the US). Additional skeins cost $10 each.
There is such tremendous joy in making something yourself. Consider giving the gift of fiber-love this year… your favorite knitter (and I) will thank you!
New Freehand Embroidery: Red-Hot Blues French-Knot Mandala
The 78th Annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair begins in less than two weeks, so I’m in embroidery overdrive.
I love the nubbly texture of this french-knot mandala design… it feels amazing to the touch! If you come by my booth in Tent 7, you can feel for yourself.
This is my newest design, and I’m planning on stitching a few more before the Fair opens on Saturday, August 6, 2011. It’s very meditative to build up the embroidery, knot by knot.
There are so many amazingly talented craftsmen at this fair: from glass-blowers, to raku potters, to printmakers, to rug-braiders, and more. Not only can you meet these artists, you can also enjoy free daily craft demonstrations, and learn their secrets.
I hope you’ll be able to visit!
New Ribbon Embroidery: Jungle Flower
My manic needlework preparations continue for the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Annual Fair, which runs August 6 – 14, 2011.
This latest freehand embroidery, “Jungle Flower,” will join “Sunset Sorbet” in the CraftWear exhibit in the main lodge building, along with the work of nearly 50 other juried artists.
I hope you’ll be able to visit.
New French Knot Mandala Embroidery: Sunset Sorbet
In advance of the 78th League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair this August, I’m busy embroidering felt hats like crazy.
Although I love each of my creations, I’m particularly smitten with this warm embroidery, created primarily with french knots.
If you’re in New Hampshire between August 6 – 14th, 2011, please visit me in Tent 7.
I’m looking forward to meeting the lucky person who’ll take this beauty home!

New Ribbon Embroidery with Antler Button & Seed Beads
The 77th Annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair runs August 7-15, 2010. That means I have 2 more months to embroider the 100+ felt hats I’ve made this winter.
One of my latest designs is this lovely pink flower embroidery, featuring a hand-cut caribou antler button with glass seed beads.
Simple & sweet. I can’t wait to see who scoops up this one…
Happy Hat Customer Testimonial
(Just before the holidays, I received this glowing testimonial from one of my very first customers. Thanks so much, Susan!)
My “Carrie Hat” kept me warm through my long walk in the ice fog. Luna wishes she had one for her whiskers and muzzle!
After 6 years, I still wear this hat every day, all winter long. And I still love it.
Happy Holidays!
